Pandu Pandoru naal - Malayalam poem on grievance

Pandu Pandoru naal,
Oru kunju kili ennodu chodichu,
Ishtamano? Ishtamano ennu!
Avalude punchiriyil en manamake,
Orayiram tharangal udhichu vannu.

Parakkuvan padikkan pokunna velayil,
Aval enikkay marachottil kathu ninnu,
Pakal muzhuvan nyan perukkiya daanyangal
Avalkkay nyan matti vachu,
Ennum avalkkay matti vachu.

Vishannu valayunna dinarathrangalil,
Avalude ormakal enikku chethana nalki,
Onnu kanuvan, Charathirikkuvan,
Onnu chumbikkuvan kothiyayi,
Ente swanthamennothuvan kothiyayi.

Nyan neetiya daanyangal okkeyum,
Punchiriyodaval ettu vangi,
Kalathin pachilil namiruperum,
Karvarnane pol valuthayi,
Aval kamini Radhye ppol sundhari yayi.

Daanyangal thirayumpol nyan annu kandu
Aa mavinte chottile pazhutha manga,
Nyan athu nalkumpol avalude mukhathile,
Aanandham kanuvan kothiyayi,
Nyan athumayi yathrayayi.

Angakale randina kilikalude konchal kettu,
Manasile mohangal nirthamadi,
Arikilay chennappol athilonnente
Hridhayathin spandanamennu thiricharinju,
Vithumpi nyan a mannil tharichirunnu.

Oru mathra nyanee dharithrithan marilekku,
Olichu poyenkilenn ashichu poyi,
Orikkalum nijamakaruthe ennu prarthicha,
Marathinte chillamel akshi neetti,
etho pratheeksha than thiri nalavumayi.

Athukanda polaval a aankili thannude,
Meniyilottonnu changirunnu,
Podiyum ashru bindhukal thudachu nyan,
Akalekkay engo nadannu neengi,
Dikkukalariyathe nyan nadannu neengi

A Trip to Manali II : In the way

From my friends I have heard about Shatabdi. I was eagerly waiting to travel in it. After some time train reached the station. Since it was starting for New Delhi we had ample time to get into the train and settle down. Luggages were too heavy for me to handle alone and luckily one uncle helped me to place my luggage in the top. Train started moving from New Delhi to Chandigargh . From the time, train started moving they kept bringing food and it continued till we reached Chandigarh. Our driver Ravi was waiting for us there in chandigargh .

Our expedition to Manali started. Mean while a girl came to meet my driver and handed over a mobile to him (Why this girl in this post??? Don’t worry I will tell u about her in future post). We saw a part of Chandigargh while on the way to Manali. City was clean and properly organized. We had food in a dhaba and later started the scary drive through Himachal Pradesh. Our vehicle was speeding at 70-80 in the mountains, cliffs and we kept on climbing one mountain after another.

Ammu was very tired and she started sleeping after some time. I was experiencing the scary drive all alone. Ravi took the vehicle to edge of the cliff, took a sharp turn and overtook the vehicles. He was playing recent hindi songs, I liked the song Ahun ahun from the movie Love Aaj Kal. He was more tempted to play Punjabi songs and I thought it was natural. In the way to Manali Ravi kept a distance with us (may be because we had an argument regarding the payment in the beginning of the travel).

Hours moved on and after 7 hours we reached Kulu. To our surprise it was bright till 8.15 in the night. We thought of going through a short cut through Nagar to reach our resort. But unfortunately it was complete mess and we were delayed for a hour than expected. We reached the resort by 9.15 pm in the evening. Welcome to sterlingssssssss.

A Trip to Manali I : To my countries capital

We just had a week in Trivandrum and in my home town. On 29th of June we came back to Bangalore. It was my first experience driving in the highways to Bangalore. 30th we stayed in Hosur and that day evening we came to my flat in Bangalore.

01-07-2009:
We had our flight at 6.00 in the morning. As usual Amoolya was taking her own time in preparation which made us delay to start. Somehow we managed reach Bangalore Airport at five in the morning. Flight was at its scheduled time and we reached Delhi by 8.30 in the morning. Our driver Chottelal was waiting for us in airport. We went to Birla Mandir. Everything including Car Parking, shoe racks were free out there. Amoolya was amused to see lot of Kollulla car (You must be familiar with luttappi by now, if not it’s my bike and Kollula car is the new comer to my favorites list) there in Delhi. We then went to Qutub Minar after that. She wanted to see the pillar which was shown in Cheeni Kum movie (common, I think girls are really fascinated by all these things).

Next journey was the lotus temple which was amazing. I was really impressed to see the brilliant structure of it. Interior was just amazing and we were asked to sit in silence there. We walked around, took couple of photos and went to President House. We just had glimpse of Parliament house and then stopped near India Gate.

After having food at Pindi restaurant in Pandara Market (Place where people just come to eat) which really burned (literally, it was costlier than our Sahib Sindh in Forum Mall Bangalore, the one I found costlier after the star hotels here in Bangalore) few bucks from my pocket we went to Akshardham Temple (Visit this to see the temple, its just next to wow). It was just brilliant example of art in India. Beautiful carvings, structures and I liked the audio-animatronics and light and sound diorama presentations from the life of Bhagwan Swaminarayan. I also enjoyed the boat ride in which they took around the culture and civilization India. I just don’t have words to explain. It was really a wonderful experience. After that we went to our hotel for check in. I was impressed with the entrance ambience of Lalit Hotel when compared to other five star hotels I have been to(This is the first time I shelling out my money to stay in a five star hotel). Rooms were really huge with Lcd Monitors and all other amenities.

A funny incident happened in between, We both went for purchase in Palika bazaar there in Delhi. We went to an auto driver to ask if he can drop us there. That guy said the bazaar should have been closed by then and he was asking us to go another bazaar. From our driver we knew that it will remain open till 8.00 in the night. He kept following us giving us options to other bazaars in Delhi. I got a bit scared because Amoolya was with me. I was disturbed by the atmosphere and later somehow we found Palika Bazaar. Whatever we select there, they will ask upto three times its rate and initially we lost some amount in bargaining. By the time we learned the technique we were too late. We returned to our hotel in an auto. We saw some foreign delegates coming to the hotel in huge cars with their countries flag and following those people in cars like Porche and Ferrari. I was imagining that scene of me going to hotel in that rickshaw. I asked the driver to stop it in the main gate and we walked to the hotel.

Next day morning our driver came to drop us to New Delhi railway station. I was really disturbed to see the capital city’s station. It was not clean, very crowded and no facilities at all. I don’t know when my country will have stations of international standard. We waited there for our Shatabdi to reach there in the station. Rest of our travel in future posts.

Just a roam around in Kovalam and Veli

It was a hectic time at home after marriage. I was busy going to several places across Trivandrum and my home town especially to few relatives house, Kovalam and Veli. I really hate going to houses of my relatives because few of you know that I am introvert and next thing is their compulsion to take all sort of food they prepare. It was a break when Amoolyas cousin invited us for a dinner in Kovalam.

Kovalam: A beautiful beach in Trivandrum. You can find a lot of foreigners there. Light house , soft tides and fantastic landscape will make your evenings wonderful here. After having a fantastic time in the beach and swimming pool, we had enough prawns and chicken there. It was really a great evening.

Veli: It was my dream to take my parents out in my own car. Since I was here I didnt get time to be with them when my sisters car was at home. Though it was really not feasible to plan a trip I took out a day in between for my parents in my new Corolla. We decided to go to Veli which is in Trivandrum. Veli is known for its fantastic view of backwaters and sea. It’s the juncture of backwaters and sea. We (My mom, Dad, bro and Amoolya) had fun in backwaters. We went for boating in the lake and it was just awesome. Fun part of it is a floating restaurant there. We had food there and went to the sea for some time enjoying ice cream and having fun with my bro vava

When they created an id for me

I get lot of friend requests after reading my blog. Few people type their comments and suggestions in the shout box also. I try to reply most of them irrespective of their gender where in I don’t reply if I feel that is from a fake id . Many of my friends knew about it, and they created a fake id called Shreya. Most interestingly the full name was shreya.t.nair@gmail.com. Once I got a mail asking for my photos on nature and the person who used the id said it was very nice. I mailed them to that ID because I do such things when my readers ask me to. Normally lot of people send me message through mail, chat and even anonymous chats through leave a message option.
After a day she added me to gtalk and started chatting with me. I checked the ip from which she was chatting and that was from a US proxy. I even asked her if she is working somewhere and she replied that she is a student. She often pinged me at my work and I thought that she was real.
Second day itself I told her that I am engaged and chat continued like that. Some days after I saw her online, since we were chatting more about blog, photography and those topics of my interested, I pinged her. Quiet some time I didn’t saw her online. I felt some missing links in between, US proxy, Shreya and Nair (Normally people don’t combine such names)
Recently we had a sendoff party, in which my colleague came and asked if I know Shreya. All my missing links came together for me to visualize the trap. I went in to the chat to know if I had told anything wrong (It was not because I don’t believe me, but just to confirm that I didn’t say anything which was not needed). Actually I feel proud about it, if some people spend a lot of effort in making fool of you then you really are someone to be admired. Thanks guys for making me realize that. Any ways I don’t have any hard feelings on that.
